Although my work has been mainly in Southwest Britain I have worked extensively
in the Scottish Islands. My research interests have taken me to Europe and North
and South America and I have supervised research in Venezuela and Indonesia. My
language achievements are modest but I can 'get by' in Spanish and French and
have some knowledge of specialist mammal terms in Spanish.
